What this app sends

This app has no account or sign-up. Feature usage statistics are optional and start only after your explicit choice. Documents are processed on your device.

Crash diagnostics unavailable

Crash diagnostics are unavailable in this version. The app does not include the Crashlytics SDK and does not send crash reports.

What a usage event contains

A usage event records which feature you opened, whether it succeeded, failed, was cancelled or never finished, and roughly how many pages and how long it took — as ranges, never exact numbers. The business content of every event is one value from a fixed list of categories; file names, file contents, file locations and search terms cannot reach it, and nothing you typed is on any of those lists. Each event also carries a few random identifiers the app generates to group the events of one action together. They are random, are not derived from anything in your documents, and say nothing about you on their own.

Who processes it

Google processes usage statistics through Firebase Analytics. The SDK uses a pseudonymous app installation identifier and technical device information. This is not fully anonymous data; we do not set an account identifier or collect an advertising ID.

How long it is kept

The app keeps pending usage events in private local storage for at most seven days, subject to a storage limit. Google-held data follows the configured service retention settings. Turning off statistics does not delete information already delivered to Google; contact us about deletion requests.

Optional ratings, and research about a future paid plan

Optional task ratings use fixed categories and are sent only with statistics enabled. You can also actively report a problem without enabling statistics: the app opens an email draft for you to review and send. The draft includes the chosen feature, problem category and version information; it does not attach your document. Sending that email does not enable ongoing statistics.

How to turn it off

Choose whether to share statistics at first use or in Settings → Privacy. Both choices leave document features available. Withdrawal closes new dispatch and attempts to clear local pending data. If saving or cleanup fails, the app reports the failure and offers retry; an unsaved withdrawal may not survive restart. Re-enabling starts a new consent period and does not submit events from an earlier period.

Your documents stay on this device

A document is read only when you pick it yourself. Editing, conversion, recognition and compression all run on this device.

What the app keeps on this device

Your recent list, its thumbnails and your settings live in this app's private storage on this device. They go when the app is uninstalled, and you can remove any recent entry by holding it.

Sharing a file with another app

When you send a file to another app through Share, what that app does with it is governed by that app's own policy.

Billing capability held in reserve

This app includes Google Play's billing capability, held in reserve for selling PDFMason Pro in a future version. This version offers nothing for sale: no purchase can be started, and no purchase information is requested or sent. When Pro is sold, Google takes the payment — the Terms of Service describe that.
