Drag pages into the order you want.
Reordering rearranges whole pages by dragging their thumbnails into a new sequence. The grid is the document: what you see top-to-bottom, left-to-right is exactly the order of the saved file. Drag any page to any position, or select several pages and move them as a block with the toolbar buttons — the keyboard path for people who do not use a mouse.
Two conveniences cover the common shapes of the job. Reverse flips the entire document — the fix for scans that came out of an automatic feeder back-to-front. And because selection is by page, you can pull a group of appendix pages to the front, or move one page to the end, in a single drag.
As with every tool on this site, the original file is never modified. Reordering builds a new document that references the same page content, so text, images and rotation all survive untouched — only their sequence changes. The result card confirms the final page count when the new file is written.
The thumbnail grid is powered by the same rendering engine that produces the final file, so what you drag is what you get. Page content is never re-rendered during reordering — the tool rearranges references, then writes one new document in the new sequence on your device, with outbound requests blocked at the policy level and nothing persisted anywhere when the tab closes.
Reordering is the safest structural edit there is: pages cannot be damaged by being moved, and the original file is never touched, so the worst case is a new file in the wrong order — delete it and try again. What it cannot do is think for you: the tool knows sequence, not meaning, so "put the conclusion before the methods" is a set of drags you perform, not an instruction it parses.
A reversed scan is the one-click story: the automatic feeder ate a fifty-page document back-to-front, and the scan reads 50, 49, 48. Press Reverse and the document reads 1, 2, 3 — done before the coffee cools. The subtler job is pulling pages forward: three appendix pages that belong with the summary get selected and dragged as a block to position two, keeping their own order inside the move. The footer counts pages throughout, so a fifty-page reorder that loses one is visible before the file is saved. And the keyboard path — select, then the toolbar arrows — performs the same moves for anyone not dragging at all. Nothing is written until you press the button, so an order you decide against costs one reload and no lost work.
